I’m so excited to share a new series with you! Inspired by artists and their gardens.
As you well know, we moved from a home with a beautiful garden to one that we get to build ourselves. That got me to thinking: what other artists are inspired by their gardens too?
This sent me on a mission to learn more about artists and their gardens. And what I found was way more than I ever knew. From the industrial revolution to women’s rights – artists and gardens were there for it all.
Over the next 4 weeks, I will be discussing it further in a series of emails. I also have a book I’m working on with even more information and some tips to start your own artist’s garden.
First up this week is Monet!
Of course, we have to start with the artist’s garden master Himself.
His garden in Giverny, France was his inspiration for the rest of his life.

Charles Monet designed his garden just for painting. Using color and shapes that inspired him.
We will explore Monet more this week on Instagram and here on the Journal as I slowly share my photography available with this collection.
